Dr. Ren is a CAR-T therapy innovator with experience spanning academic discovery and industry translation. He completed postdoctoral training in Prof. Carl June’s laboratory and helped advance next-generation cell therapy platforms, including CRISPR-engineered universal CAR-T (UCAR-T). Dr. Ren is a key inventor on the University of Pennsylvania’s UCAR-T patent portfolio. He previously held scientific roles at Novartis and TCR2 Therapeutics and earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology from the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
